“Our Yard” – Khatai district, Vunq Tau Street
Within the framework of the "Our Yard" project, implemented on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Association, another renovated yard has been made available for residents.
The renovated yard covers buildings housing 2,600 residents at 12, 16, 18, 18a Vung Tau Street, Khatai district.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku yards ecologically clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the pillar of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
In the newly renovated yard, consideration has been given to the mobility of people with disabilities, favorable conditions have been created for the development of children of all age groups, and various sports facilities, a football cage, a chess area, and a playground for children have been installed to ensure that young people spend their leisure time efficiently and develop a habit of systematic exercise.
At the same time, three conversation areas have been built in the area, and benches and trash bins have been installed.
Taking into account the requests and interests of the residents, new lighting poles and security cameras have been installed in the yard, and the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings have been fully renovated. Along with restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 50 additional trees have been planted, and a green strip covering 1,800 sq.m. has been created in compliance with special quarantine rules.
In the renovated yard, medical and preventive measures have been implemented in accordance with quarantine requirements, disinfectant dispensers have been installed, and educational boards warning about adherence to quarantine rules have been set up.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about yards in the capital that need improvement are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Association.
