Intense negotiations are currently underway at the UN Biodiversity Conference regarding “the fate of living beings.”

The 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP-15) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will last two weeks in Montreal, Canada. The main goal of the conference is to adopt the global biodiversity framework, which includes a strategic vision and a global roadmap for the conservation, protection, restoration, and sustainable management of biodiversity and ecosystems for the decade beyond 2020.
