Ganja volunteers mobilized for a greener Azerbaijan.

The event, attended by nearly 1,000 IDEA Ganja volunteers, took place in the Park established in 1979 on the initiative of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, which now bears his name. As a result of the active participation of young people, more than 10,000 Eldar pines and plane trees were planted in the Park.

The main goal of the action carried out under the slogan “Help us for a greener Azerbaijan!” was to accelerate the improvement of the ecological environment by planting trees, to contribute to the formation and development of ecological culture and care for nature among young people, to ensure the effective organization of their leisure time by motivating them to participate in this work, and to instill a caring attitude toward nature among people through ecological awareness efforts.

In the action organized to prevent possible future natural and anthropogenic impacts, to preserve and contribute to the area’s biodiversity, volunteers actively participated to set an example for other young people and to convey to them the importance of environmental protection in this way.

It should be noted that the IDEA Public Union regularly organizes such ecological actions to strengthen environmental advocacy among people, to ensure the participation of youth in protecting the environment and cleaning the atmosphere from harmful gases, and to promote the idea of a “healthy world for future generations.”
