The deadline for the “Eko Ev” project has been extended.

The “Eko Ev” project, implemented by the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection) Public Union, led by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, in collaboration with the Day.az news portal, has had its deadline extended. Accordingly, young people can submit their sketches on the theme of “eco house” (in “jpg” format) on the idea.day.az website with a brief explanation not by March 10, but by April 10.

The main reason for extending the project deadline is that the project started on February 3, coinciding with the students’ semester break, and during the presentation ceremonies at local universities and afterwards, student-youth showed great interest in the project, submitting numerous requests to extend the deadline.

It should be noted that the project envisages the preparation of sketches of environmentally friendly houses that reduce energy consumption, utilize waste, and take other ecological factors into account.

Winners of the first round of the competition will be selected through voting on the Facebook social network. At the end of the voting, which will take place from April 10 to May 10, the 10 best sketches will qualify for the second stage of the competition. In the second stage, the 10 sketches that received the most votes will be evaluated by the competition jury.

The authors of the top three selected sketches will be awarded cash prizes of 3000, 2000, and 1000 AZN, respectively. In addition, the first-place winner will have the opportunity to gain experience abroad, while the second-place winner will have the opportunity to intern at a major construction company operating in Azerbaijan.
