As part of IDEA’s environmental education program, on October 16, another scientific seminar on the topic “Ecological Management” was organized at the Resource Center of the IDEA Public Union for students of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku Higher Oil School, the Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, and the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy. During the seminar, the well-known specialist in biodiversity conservation, Elman Yusifov, provided participants with interesting information about various areas of the environment.

Within the framework of the seminar, a presentation of the two-volume textbook entitled “Ecological Management,” co-authored by Elman Yusifov, was also held. It should be noted that the mentioned book was published under the chief editorship of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union.

The book reflects scientific research on all areas of the environment, including ecosystems, biodiversity, legal regulation, global environmental problems observed in the modern world and ways to solve them, international experience, and more. In addition to being a useful textbook for students studying in the fields of environment, ecology, and sustainable development, this book is also of particular importance as a desk reference for those working in these fields.

At the seminar, which was held in an interactive format, young people had the opportunity to directly discuss with a professional the topics related to environmental protection that interested them.

At the end of the event, the IDEA Public Union presented the participants with two-volume copies of the book “Ecological Management.”

The IDEA Public Union will also organize similar seminars for students of other higher education institutions of our Republic.
