A tree-planting campaign was held to support the development of eco-entrepreneurship.

On December 10, a mass campaign for planting honey-bearing trees was held in the Gabala district, jointly organized by the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the Gabala District Executive Authority. During the mass campaign, which was attended by hundreds of volunteers, 7,000 acacia trees were planted.
The event was organized within the framework of the IDEA Public Union’s project supporting the development of eco-entrepreneurship in the country. The aim of the project is to increase the range of bees, which are protectors of biodiversity, in Azerbaijan, while also supporting the development of beekeeping in the country. In this regard, in addition to increasing forest areas consisting of nectar- and pollen-producing trees across the country, it is planned to organize beekeeping training for young families and provide them with support in this direction.
As is known, considering the important role of bees and other pollinators in protecting biodiversity, beekeeping is considered the most ecologically safe and beneficial type of agriculture. Honey-producing bees actively participate in pollinating plants, increasing their productivity and enhancing their sustainability. The development of the plant kingdom and the presence of bees are interdependent. Bees and some other insects pollinate plants, ensuring not only the individual regeneration of plants but also the development of certain species.
