The “Reuse for the Environment” youth summer camp will be implemented.

With the support of the IDEA campaign, the Göyçay District Executive Authority, USA Education, and the Ecology Department of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), and organized by the “Göyçay Development Center” Public Union, the “Reuse for the Environment” youth summer camp will be implemented.

The purpose of holding the camp is to organize young people’s summer vacation efficiently, encourage them to be responsible for the cleanliness of the city they live in, increase young people’s responsibility towards the environment, and provide them with ecological knowledge.

During the camp, young people will be instilled with the idea that the amount of waste released into the environment should not exceed what nature can decompose and neutralize. As a result of the competition, for the 30 selected young participants, various interesting learning methods will be used by experienced trainers to explain the seriousness of the waste problem.

All activities planned at the camp will be carried out in the direction of clean ecology, a waste-free environment, and a healthy lifestyle. In addition, presentations will be delivered to young people regarding the dangers posed by plastic materials to the environment.

It should be noted that at the end of the camp, participants will take part in an excursion to SOCAR’s Eco Park located in the village of Gala in the city of Baku, become acquainted with SOCAR’s environmental projects, and obtain information about alternative energy and other modern technologies at the eco park.
