The “Reuse for the Environment” youth summer camp, attended by 30 young people, has come to an end in Ismayilli.

The camp was held with the support of the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign, the “Goychay Development Center” Public Union, the “Ireli” Public Union, the American Education Center, and the Ecology Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
During the camp, trainers delivered presentations to young people on ecology, the environment, household waste and its management, the positive aspects of reuse for nature, volunteering, organizing fundraising activities for the implementation of youth ideas, and educational opportunities in the United States.
In addition, training sessions were conducted for young people on the dangers posed by plastic materials to the environment.
On the final day of the camp, the participants took part in an экскурsion to the ecopark of the Ecology Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), located in the Gala village of Baku.
After becoming familiar with safety instructions at the ecology center, the participants were introduced to presentation materials on the topic “SOCAR’s Environmental Projects”.

The camp participants were informed about the purpose of establishing the ecopark, its production areas, and infrastructure.
They received detailed information about the wind generators, solar panels, and other technologies installed in the ecopark. The participants were also provided with extensive information about the bioecological characteristics and cultivation methods of various plant species grown in the park’s closed nursery complex.
At the end of the event, commemorative photos were taken, and special gifts from the department were presented to all participants.
It should be noted that the purpose of organizing the camp was to encourage young people to responsibly contribute to the cleanliness of the cities they live in by making effective use of their summer holidays, to increase their responsibility toward the environment, and to provide them with ecological knowledge.
