A summer school on the topic “Protection of the Environment for Present and Future Generations” was held.

The opening of the summer school on “Protection of the Environment for Present and Future Generations,” organized jointly by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign, took place.
Within the framework of the project, lectures will be delivered over a week to about 50 students and graduates of higher education institutions, aimed at widely promoting ideas about the importance of environmental protection. Participants will also be familiarized with ongoing projects and initiatives on site.
The summer school participants will attend lectures and excursions on topics such as Azerbaijan’s environmental policy, climate change, measures implemented in the field of environmental protection, household waste management, methodology for environmental monitoring, protection of the Caspian Sea environment, assessment of destructive impacts on the environment in occupied territories, and more.
The aim of the project is to enhance young people’s knowledge and skills in the field of environment and safety, to improve the ecological culture of the younger generation, and to engage the public in the joint protection of the environment.
