Participation in the “Young Climate Champions” competition

IDEA Public Union and the British Embassy, with the joint support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, invite students of grades 8–11 to participate in the “Young Climate Champions” competition.
Schools are invited to form their teams (a maximum of 5 students per team from the same school) and submit project proposals that will help reduce the carbon footprint of the school or local community. Possible areas of activity may include awareness-raising and advocacy campaigns, clean-up actions, and the implementation of green technologies. All applications will be reviewed by the Selection Committee, and teams proposing the most creative and impactful projects will be invited for an interview. Teams that successfully pass the interview will be able to receive small grants from the organizers to implement their ideas in March–April 2023. Winning teams will be assigned mentors by the organizers to support them in implementing their project proposals.
