Ganja River Cleanup Campaign.

On March 14, 2014, in connection with the International Day for Rivers Protection, the IDEA Public Union (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection), with the support of the Ganja City Executive Authority, organized a public campaign to clean the Ganja River.
Within the framework of the event, nearly 100 volunteers of the IDEA Public Union, equipped with supplies in accordance with sanitary standards, carried out the cleaning of the Ganja River from household waste.
In addition, specially prepared booklets were distributed to the people living on the riverbanks and to the public catering establishments operating there, highlighting the importance of keeping the Ganja River clean and the consequences of its pollution, accompanied by appropriate explanations.
The event was met with particular interest by the city community, the press, and administrative bodies and was recognized as a commendable initiative.
The aim of the project was to mobilize society in the protection of rivers, which play a special role in maintaining the natural balance and human life, to restore the ecological balance of the area, to contribute to environmental improvement, and to promote ecological culture and a sense of care for nature among people.
