In Lankaran city, the "Green Corps" summer school was organized by the IDEA campaign (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection), the Public Union "Debate in Civil Society," and the OSCE Baku Office, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and “Təmiz Şəhər” JSC.

The main goal of the summer school is to provide young people, as the future citizens of our country, with basic knowledge in eco-management (environmental management), environmental protection, and proper research methods, to teach correct project writing and management, to expand their worldview, and to help these young people become ecological activists in the future.

The summer school program consisted of two parts – educational training and cultural-sports programs. Within the framework of the educational training program, local and foreign experts provided participants with knowledge and skills on writing and managing ecological projects, foreign experience in this field, and relevant methodologies.

As a continuation of the educational training program, participants were divided into teams and wrote projects aimed at solving existing ecological problems in the southern region of Azerbaijan. A competition was held among the projects presented by the teams. Three projects that successfully passed the competition were funded and are planned to be implemented in October-November.

Additionally, to make effective use of their free time and strengthen their knowledge through practical exercises, participants were offered a cultural-sports program that included various team-building games, sports activities, and entertaining events.
