Young people will participate in the ecological assessment of the territories liberated from occupation.

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, the project “Youth Participation in the Environmental Assessment of Azerbaijan’s Liberated Territories” is being launched.
Within the framework of the nationwide activity program, the environmental damage caused to our nature as a result of Armenia’s 30-year occupation will be studied, international practices for the restoration of the territories will be examined, and a methodology and rules for measuring the scale of environmental damage will be developed.
Youth selected as participants will take part in trainings to apply this methodology and rules. They will become familiar with the actual ecological condition of the liberated territories and inform local and international communities about the ecocide facts through various channels.
Implemented by the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, this project will carry out the environmental assessment of the liberated territories with the involvement of young people.
To take advantage of this unique opportunity, young people with education or experience in the field of environmental protection can apply to the IDEA Public Union.
