On March 29, the next meeting within the framework of IDEA’s “Green Conversation Club” project was held at the Resource Center of the State Administration Academy under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

This time, the club’s topic was dedicated to biodiversity and its conservation. Discussions with young people focused on the protection and sustainable use of biological diversity, the experience of international environmental organizations in this field, and rare and endangered plant and animal species with international and national status. In addition, discussions were held about the projects implemented by IDEA Public Association for the conservation and enrichment of biodiversity in Azerbaijan, including the Caucasus region – such as “Reintroduction of Gazelles to Their Historical Sites in the Caucasus,” “Restoration of the Leopard Population in Azerbaijan,” and the “Reintroduction of Bison,” as well as international cooperation in this field.

The meeting was significant for young people to learn about factors threatening biological diversity and ecosystems and to contribute to efforts aimed at biodiversity conservation.

IDEA Public Association launched the “Green Conversation Club” project in June 2012 to help young ecologists improve their knowledge of environmental and sustainable development issues, as well as to enhance their foreign language (English) skills.
