“GreenCar” Introduces Electric Vehicles in Azerbaijan.

“GreenCar” – a Sales and Service Center for electric vehicles – with the support of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation and the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) organization, has begun the implementation of a large-scale innovative and ecological project across the country. One of the main objectives of the project is to bring the latest technological innovations to Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of this project, which focuses on protecting the environment through innovative methods, supporting the reduction of emissions released into the environment by vehicles to a minimum level, and covering longer distances at lower cost, the “GreenCar” Sales and Service Center will showcase electric vehicles produced in various countries – electric cars, electric buses, electric motorcycles, electric bicycles, and others. Visitors will be provided with information about the environmental advantages of electric vehicles and the technological innovations applied in them, as well as the organization of sales and technical service for this type of vehicles.

Within the framework of the “GreenCar” project, passenger transportation on routes using buses capable of traveling 300 km on a single electric charge will also be implemented. In the future, these routes are planned to be expanded across the city of Baku and the regions. At the same time, bringing electric taxis capable of traveling 300 km on a single electric charge to Baku is also an integral part of the project.

In the city of Baku (in parking areas and on streets) and along many major highways, energy charging devices equipped with modern technological solutions will be installed, and stations will be built. Energy charging units managed by special software reflect the latest technological innovations. It will also be possible to charge electric vehicles using ordinary electrical outlets.

The project aims to support ecological initiatives implemented in Azerbaijan in the direction of environmental protection and ensuring that people live in a healthy natural environment, as well as to prevent factors that negatively affect the environment and to improve the ecological situation.

It should be noted that environmental protection and the creation of a healthy ecological environment are among the priority issues at the state level in Azerbaijan. In this regard, national parks have been established across the country, new forest belts have been created, measures aimed at improving the ecological condition of the Caspian Sea, and other projects have been implemented. Azerbaijan has also begun applying the Euro-4 ecological standard for vehicles since 2014 in order to prevent the emission of harmful substances into the environment.

For the first time in Azerbaijan, the large-scale implementation by “GreenCar” of a transition to environmentally friendly electric vehicles, along with awareness-raising and promotion in this field, will make another contribution to improving the ecological situation in the country and in the region as a whole. The project also aims to turn Azerbaijan into the most innovative center in the region.
