"Let's Turn Every Paper into a Leaf": Leaders of the Week

The joint project "Let's Turn Every Paper into a Leaf," organized by the IDEA Public Union (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection), ASAN Service, and “Təmiz Şəhər” JSC, continues successfully.

Within the framework of the project initiated by the IDEA Public Union, led by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a collection campaign for used paper and paper products is held every day from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at each ASAN Service center operating in Baku.

Among the state bodies participating in the first week of the campaign, the State Social Protection Fund submitted 27,000 kg, among non-governmental organizations, the Azerbaijan Confederation of Lawyers submitted 173.4 kg, and among private enterprises, “Embawood” company submitted 1,700 kg of used paper products to the mentioned centers, becoming the leaders of the week. In addition, citizens also participate in the campaign on a large scale, among them Sevinc Isayeva, daughter of Shamsaddin, took first place with 56 kg.

We would like to note that last week, a total of 51,119 kg of paper waste was submitted within the campaign. It should also be mentioned that for every 50 kg of paper waste handed in, the planting of 1 tree is planned.
