On December 5, 2015, at the initiative of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection) Public Union, the next tree-planting campaign was held within the framework of the "Let's Turn Every Paper into a Leaf" project.

The "Let's Turn Every Paper into a Leaf" project was launched on March 18, 2015, by IDEA Public Union and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Within the project, collection points for used paper were installed in front of ASAN Service Centers located in Baku city and regions. In addition, the “Azersun” company organizes the collection of over 300 kg of paper waste from addresses using special vehicles.

According to the project, it was planned to plant one tree for every 50 kg of paper collected. In total, nearly 150 tons of paper waste have been collected and sent for recycling within the framework of the project, resulting in the planting of 3,000 trees in Baku city.

In this tree-planting campaign, organized together with the Baku City Greening Department, approximately 100 young people participated and planted a total of 1,500 trees of species including Oriental Plane, Olive, Jujube, Cypress, Pine, Locust, Japanese Pagoda Tree, Oleander, Elm, and Acacia.

IDEA Public Union approaches the increase and protection of greenery with special sensitivity. Since its establishment, IDEA Public Union has achieved the planting of over 5 million trees across the country through large-scale tree-planting campaigns.

The main goal of the "Let's Turn Every Paper into a Leaf" project is to protect trees, preserve nature, and maintain ecological balance by reducing paper waste and promoting recycling.

IDEA Public Union invites everyone to participate in this project, which is implemented at the national level!
