Starting from March 18, IDEA Public Union and the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan are launching the nationwide project “Let’s Turn Every Paper into a Leaf,” dedicated to the collection of paper products.

The aim of the project is to protect trees, preserve nature, and maintain ecological balance by reducing paper waste and promoting recycling. Additionally, the project seeks to prevent environmental pollution and encourage proper waste management.

As is known, the pilot phase of the “Let’s Turn Every Paper into a Leaf” project was implemented in Baku from February to April 2014. Considering the success of the pilot phase (nearly 79 tons of paper were collected and sent to the relevant recycling facilities within 3 months) and the widespread interest from the public, IDEA Public Union and its partners decided to implement this project continuously at the national level.

The collection of used paper will initially begin on March 18 at Baku “ASAN Service” Center No. 4, and starting from March 25, the collection of paper waste will be carried out at all ASAN Service centers across the country.

Within the framework of the project, the company “Azersun” will also organize the collection of over 300 kg of paper waste from addresses using special vehicles. Those who wish to hand over paper waste in a mobile manner are requested to contact IDEA Public Union (phone: 497-63-16) or ASAN Service (hotline: 108).

IDEA Public Union and the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan invite state institutions, representatives of the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and citizens to participate in the “Let’s Turn Every Paper into a Leaf” project for the sake of environmental protection!
