The Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the IDEA Public Union Launch the “Say No to Tree Cutting!” Joint Program.

At the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection) Public Union, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the IDEA Public Union have begun implementing the “Say No to Tree Cutting!” program aimed at addressing pressing environmental issues and strengthening public-ecological oversight among the population. Within the framework of the program, an “Emergency Help for Nature” hotline and a mobile team will be established. Citizens who encounter illegal tree cutting will be able to submit their complaints and suggestions to the IDEA Public Union through the hotline. The mobile team will investigate the complaints on-site and collect additional evidence, including photo and video materials, related to the issue.
It should be noted that during its three years of activity, the IDEA Public Union has played a significant role in raising environmental awareness among people, especially the younger generation, and has implemented large- and small-scale ecological projects to promote the restoration of the natural environment in our country. Among these initiatives, mass tree-planting campaigns hold a special place. To date, more than 3,472,000 trees have been planted during these campaigns.
