Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, attended the opening of the World Parks Congress.

Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection) Public Union, attended the opening of the World Parks Congress organized on November 12 in Sydney, Australia by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
The World Parks Congress is held once every ten years. The current event, which will continue until November 19, is the 6th Congress. This year’s meeting is dedicated to sharing advanced practices and knowledge on more effective management and preservation of protected areas. The event will be attended by presidents of several countries, ministers responsible for environmental protection, and other high-ranking officials, as well as leaders of international and regional organizations, renowned experts, and representatives of leading non-governmental organizations.
Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, will speak at the plenary session of the World Parks Congress about our country’s experience in environmental protection and the measures taken in this direction. Leyla Aliyeva is also scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings within the framework of the event.
It should be noted that a pavilion reflecting the activities of IDEA Public Union, a leading organization in the field of environmental protection, has also been established in the area where the congress is held.
