IDEA has, for the first time in Azerbaijan, launched the use of biodegradable bags.

The IDEA Public Union (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection), led by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, is implementing the use of biodegradable bags in Azerbaijan for the first time.
Unlike ordinary polyethylene bags, biodegradable bags decompose easily when disposed of in nature and integrate into the soil. While plastic or polyethylene bags can remain in the soil for hundreds of years, biodegradable bags mix with the soil in a short period and cause virtually no harm to the environment.
It should be noted that these eco-friendly bags have been distributed to large markets and shopping centers in Baku, such as "Bazarstore," "Grand," "Neptun," "Premium," and "Kontinental." Customers can ask for these bags at the checkout counters of the mentioned shopping centers.
