The IDEA “Eko-Scout” project continues successfully

The “Eco-Scout” project, launched on the initiative of the IDEA Public Union and attracting great interest from young nature lovers, continues successfully.
On October 13, a “From Waste to Art” exhibition was held at the Park Bulvar Shopping Center with the participation of active members of IDEA Eco-Scouts, whose number has reached 160 in a short period. The purpose of organizing the exhibition was to contribute to proper waste management, give a second life to unusable items through reuse, promote waste reduction from an early age, and ensure the effective use of children’s leisure time.
At the one-day exhibition, which featured more than 30 handmade works, small art samples were presented, created using plastic containers, egg cartons, unusable and old newspapers, fabric scraps, buttons, and other waste materials.
Eco-Scouts explained to everyone who approached the exhibition and showed interest in the handmade items the importance of reuse and waste reduction principles for the protection of the environment.
Eco-Scouts who demonstrated special activity and earned the corresponding points advanced to the next stage and gained a new status. Those advancing to the next stage were awarded the “Guide” status with a certificate for their active participation in environmental protection, caring attitude towards nature, seeking solutions to ecological problems, and successfully completing the second stage of the project.
At the end of the event, the exhibition participants watched the film “The Secret of Trees” at the Tusi-Bohm Planetarium. Afterwards, IDEA presented souvenirs to the Eco-Scouts.
It should be noted that the “Eco-Scout” project was launched in March of last year. The project aims to engage young people in nature conservation, encourage them to use nature’s resources sparingly and properly, to study and protect wildlife in depth, and to motivate them to engage in useful ecological activities in society. The IDEA Eco-Scout project enables young people to understand ecological problems that pose a threat to the planet, involve others in solving these problems, participate in this civic movement, and become its leaders.
