The presentation of IDEA Public Union’s Rescue and Shelter Center for Stray Animals was held.

On May 8, 2015, with the participation of animal protection organizations and animal-loving citizens, the presentation of IDEA Public Union’s Rescue and Shelter Center for Stray Animals, built in the Garadagh district of Baku, was held.
The official groundbreaking ceremony of the Center took place on October 9, 2014, with the participation of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union. In the construction of the shelter, experiences from leading countries were utilized, and well-known foreign specialists were involved in the design and construction works. The Center is planned to be operational by the end of this year.
The shelter complex, equipped with modern technical equipment and meeting international standards, is designed to provide vaccinations, sterilizations, and, when necessary, surgical services for stray animals, as well as to create all conditions for their permanent and temporary accommodation.
It is planned that a mobile emergency medical service for animals will operate in the shelter, and a special team responsible for the humane transport of stray animals to the Center will be established.
During the presentation, it was noted that the Center will include a modern clinic equipped with high-level equipment for animal examination and treatment, an animal hotel, a training center for various workshops and events, a complex where animals ready for adoption are displayed, and large shelters for the permanent and temporary accommodation of animals. The walking and play parks for dogs located here will be open to the public, and anyone will be able to bring their pet to this park for a walk.
At the presentation, IDEA Public Union announced its intention to use the built shelters in cooperation with local organizations engaged in the protection of stray animals and invited the organizations attending the meeting to collaborate.
IDEA’s Rescue and Shelter Center for Stray Animals will always be open for volunteers and animal lovers who want to care for animals.
This initiative of IDEA Public Union was highly appreciated by the animal lovers participating in the presentation.
