IDEA campaign held an event dedicated to the international "Earth Day."

The IDEA campaign, which regularly implements local and international projects aimed at drawing people's attention to the beauty of nature, care for it, environmental protection issues, and the damage inflicted upon it, held an event dedicated to the international "Earth Day" celebrated today.
"Earth Day," now observed in 192 countries, brings together nearly 1 billion people living in various parts of the world each year. The "Earth Day Network," which coordinates "Earth Day," currently collaborates with nearly 22,000 organizations.
As an official partner of the "Earth Day Network," the IDEA campaign organizes events for the celebration of "Earth Day" in Azerbaijan. In particular, to inform people, especially young people, about environmental protection, the IDEA campaign participates in the global photo collection under the #faceofclimate hashtag implemented by the "Earth Day Network." Within the framework of the campaign, IDEA activists took photographs reflecting the beauty of nature and environmental pollution. Through the photos, young people also conveyed their messages about environmental protection. Nearly 100 photos were uploaded to the official website of the "Earth Day Network" and shared on social media.
It should be noted that "Earth Day" was first celebrated in 1970. For the first time, nearly 20 million people organized various events to raise awareness of environmental protection and expressed their opinions. According to a resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2009, the international "Earth Day" is celebrated every year on April 22.
It should be reminded that the IDEA campaign places special importance on increasing young people's interest in nature conservation and their active participation in the events held.
