The IDEA campaign and 350.org begin collaboration.

The IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign, in its new phase of activity in 2013, is starting cooperation with another global environmental movement on an international level.
The 350.org campaign (http://www.350.org
) operates in 188 countries and aims to unite people in a global movement to address the climate crisis, one of the main ecological problems of our planet. The movement engages thousands of volunteers to involve people in active participation through online campaigns, active organization, and the organization of mass environmental actions to combat the global ecological problem.
Considering that global warming is one of the focus areas of the IDEA campaign, an agreement has been reached to make joint efforts and collaborate with the 350.org campaign within the framework of the Global Power Shift (GPS) project (www.globalpowershift.org
).
The Global Power Shift project will begin with a summit in Istanbul from June 10-17, 2013. The summit will primarily provide an opportunity for sharing experiences, developing personal connections and communities, as well as organizing similar summits in participants’ own countries. In the following months, national and regional summits are planned to be held consecutively. The implementation of local Energy Shift projects will make a significant contribution to mobilizing young people to raise awareness in their countries about the realities of climate change and ways to address them. The local projects carried out will also result in the implementation of other projects and campaigns, as well as the organization of mass global actions in 2014 and 2015.
Participation of IDEA representatives from Azerbaijan and other active ecological citizens is also expected in the Global Power Shift project.
It should be noted that the IDEA campaign, initiated on July 12, 2011, by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, has, since 2011, not only cooperated with many prestigious international organizations but has also contributed to the creation of a global environmental network.
