The IDEA campaign (International Dialogue for Environmental Action), initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, announces an international photo contest called "The Earth Through the Eyes of Children" among children and youth in connection with June 1 – International Children’s Day and June 5 – World Environment Day.

The international photo contest and the festival planned at its conclusion aim to draw global attention to existing environmental issues and demonstrate the importance of environmental protection by all generations.

The "The Earth Through the Eyes of Children" international photo contest is being carried out under the initiative of the IDEA campaign in close collaboration with world-renowned photographer Reza Deghati, with the support of WPO (World Photography Organization) and the UK's "National Geographic" Kids magazine.

Any child or teenager under the age of 17 can submit a work depicting the theme "I love nature and I am afraid to pollute it."

The submitted photographs will be evaluated by an international jury and members of the advisory board. Winners will receive valuable prizes and gain the right to participate in the festival and exhibition to be held in Baku in October 2012.
