Within the framework of the “Eco Cinema” project, on June 14, at the Resource Center of the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection) campaign, located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a screening of the world-famous film Home took place with the participation of about 30 young people on the occasion of “June 17 – World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought.” A discussion of the film followed afterwards.

The film Home is a rare documentary created to unite young people around a common goal to protect the future. Serving as a visual tool for people to become familiar with the Earth’s natural beauty, it also warns about the negative impacts that existing environmental problems can have on this beauty.

The film has been translated into more than 14 languages. The IDEA campaign plans to have the film translated into Azerbaijani soon and broadcast it through local television channels for the public.

As part of the “Eco Cinema” project, film screenings and discussions among students are scheduled to be held at the Resource Center every two weeks.
