On June 4, a new coastal cleanup campaign was held, organized by the IDEA Public Union with the support of the Binagadi District Executive Authority. More than 100 young volunteers joined the campaign, which was carried out in connection with the opening of the beach season.

It should be noted that a public beach was specifically chosen for the campaign organized at the Goradil beach. Seating areas, shaded zones, and changing cabins were built in the area, a sanitary unit was installed, a volleyball court was set up, and trash bins were placed to ensure that people could enjoy free rest in a comfortable, clean, and safe environment.

During the event, the participants, equipped with the necessary sanitary supplies, collected nearly 2 tons of waste from the 4.4-hectare beach area to the accompaniment of music played by DJs. Special machinery was brought in to organize the waste collection process more efficiently.

The cleanup campaign, held under the slogan “Let the shores remain clean,” is the 12th campaign carried out with the participation of numerous young people along the shores of the Caspian Sea.

The first campaign of the 2019 beach season took place two days earlier at the Novkhani beach. Another mass cleanup event dedicated to World Environment Day is planned to be held on June 8.

The main goal of the event is to promote the maintenance of cleanliness along the seashore, prevent coastal areas from being polluted with household waste, and involve all young people in the fight to protect the marine environment.

In connection with the arrival of the holiday season, the IDEA Public Union once again calls on everyone to use the gifts that nature has bestowed on us with care and to protect the environment for the well-being of present and future generations.
