IDEA Relaunches Its Internship Program

The IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign is launching a new season of its internship program aimed at providing young people with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they have gained at university in practice, develop their research skills, and familiarize themselves with a professional work environment.
Interns in the program will work five days a week, four hours per day, participating in the development of various environmental projects, organizing ecological events and campaigns, and performing various office tasks under the supervision of internship mentors.
The internship program is open to young people who are:
- Aged 18-30;
- Studying in one of the following fields: ecology, biology, geography, sustainable development, journalism, public relations, international relations, or translation (Azerbaijani-English; Russian-English);
- Fluent in Azerbaijani;
- Possess a solid foundation in English (upper-intermediate level) for professional use.
After the selection of applicants is completed, the chosen interns undergo a one-week training. During this training, interns receive detailed information about the campaign’s structure, work system, and their responsibilities, and are briefed on office rules.
Young people will have the opportunity to intern in three main areas of activity. Those studying environmental and other natural sciences will be involved in developing ecological projects, organizing environmental events, and related tasks; those in journalism, public relations, and international relations will focus on writing articles, preparing press releases, handling official correspondence, and similar activities; and those studying or having completed translation will carry out translations of texts, press releases, articles, and other materials.
The program will start on September 15 and will run for four months. Young people who successfully complete the program will receive the corresponding certificates.
