On April 22, 2016, a training dedicated to “Earth Day” was held by the IDEA Public Union.
Approximately 40 young people studying or working in the fields of environment, ecology, and sustainable development participated in the training held at IDEA’s Resource Center, located in the Zirə Cultural Center.

The first part of the training, which consisted of theoretical and practical sections, covered topics such as the correct planting methods for trees and shrubs, various types of flowers, grafting of trees, safe pruning, proper watering techniques according to the species of trees and shrubs, the fertilization process, and other information related to general proper care. At the end of the theoretical section, discussions and a question-and-answer session were conducted with the participants.

During the practical part, an info tour was organized for the participants at the Zirə Cultural Center - Eco-Park and the Bird Park. Afterwards, together with the youth, trees and various flowers were planted and cared for in the territory of Zirə Cultural Center - Eco-Park.

It should be noted that the Zirə Cultural Center Eco-Park was inaugurated on December 30, 2015. Built as part of a special project, the total area of Zirə Cultural Center is 6,000 square meters. In addition to the IDEA Public Union Resource Center, the center houses the Zirə Carpet Museum, an electronic library, a foreign language classroom, a chess room, a fashion studio, a 3D cinema hall, a gymnastics hall, the Orchid House, and more.

The training organized was met with great interest by the participants and served to deepen their knowledge on planting greenery and caring for it.

IDEA regularly organizes trainings, seminars, ecology-themed films, discussion clubs, and courses every month to enhance the ecological knowledge of youth studying in the fields of environment and sustainable development, to direct their attention to solving ecological problems, and to help them observe expert approaches to important ecological topics.
