Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign, met with the leaders of several prominent organizations.

The meeting took place within the framework of the international camp for young ecologists in Gabala, titled “The Role of Youth in Environmental Governance: Today and Tomorrow.”

Leyla Aliyeva met with Lisa Bardwell, President and Executive Director of the U.S. organization Earth Force; Omar Farooq, Director of the U.K. organization EcoMuslim; Guido Trivellini, representative of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Italy; Vondvosen Asnake Kibret, representative of the United Nations Environment Programme; and Elizabeth Wizerhed, a scholar at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado, USA.

During the meeting, issues related to establishing and developing mutual cooperation, as well as implementing joint programs and projects on environmental protection, were discussed.
