On June 25, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, visited the Baku Zoological Park and participated in the opening ceremony of the new enclosure built for the tiger kept in the zoo.

Taking into account numerous appeals from Baku residents regarding the unsatisfactory conditions in which the tiger was kept and the need for appropriate measures, Leyla Aliyeva initiated the construction of a new enclosure for this rare animal species that meets modern requirements.

The new habitat is five times larger than the previous enclosure, as well as brighter and more comfortable. It includes a separate fully constructed shelter to protect the animal from heat and frost, a large pool, a playground for play and rest, entertainment features, and other elements reflecting the tiger’s natural habitat.

As a result of this project, the living conditions of the tiger residing in the zoo have been significantly improved, and its safety and comfort are fully ensured.

After the opening ceremony, Leyla Aliyeva familiarized herself with the living conditions of other animals kept in the Zoological Park and shared her suggestions and recommendations.
