The presentation of the “Responsible Hunting – Guarding Biodiversity” project was held

On June 24, the presentation of the “Responsible Hunting – Guarding Biodiversity” project, implemented through the joint cooperation of the IDEA Public Union and the “Regional Development” Public Union with the support of the State Committee for Support of Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held.

At the event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, a message from Leyla Aliyeva, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, was read to the participants. The message provided information on the work carried out by IDEA in the field of biodiversity conservation and the necessity of the “Responsible Hunting” project. It was noted that the development of hunting in our country has led to the emergence of modern hunting farms and the creation of new jobs. However, the exploitation of this sector in ways harmful to the environment and, in many cases, the killing of rare animal species has been observed.

The “Responsible Hunting – Guarding Biodiversity” project will begin on the eve of the next hunting season and aims to prevent the killing of prohibited animal species, including migratory birds.

Participants speaking at the discussions emphasized the importance of implementing the project.

Within the framework of the project, special training will be conducted for employees of hunting farms, awareness-raising activities will be carried out with hunters, special promotional materials will be prepared, and meetings will be held with local communities. Additionally, within the project, pages on social networks and a dedicated hotline will be established.
