An international conference on “Global Approaches to Environmental Issues in the Oil Industry” is being held.

On November 4, in Baku, with the support of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign, an international conference on “Global Approaches to Environmental Issues in the Oil Industry” was launched.

Then, a message from Leyla Əliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and head of IDEA, was read to the conference participants.
The message states:
“Dear conference participants! I am pleased to welcome the participants of the international conference titled ‘Global Approaches to Environmental Issues in the Oil Industry.’Global ecological problems require a global perspective. The concern caused by ecological problems in the world prompts each of us to reflect deeply. Innovative approaches are constantly needed to protect nature more efficiently and effectively. IDEA strives to establish an international dialogue for environmental protection. Approaching and promoting solutions to ecological problems with a ‘green mindset’ to avoid harming nature is the main principle of our work. Environmental protection should become a unifying, common life philosophy for the various people living on our planet. IDEA is working on new projects to strengthen ecological awareness. The future ecological state of our planet will depend on the mindset of today’s generation. Undoubtedly, thinking about ecology means thinking about the future. Demographic changes, industrial expansion, and increasing human impact on nature turn ecological responsibility into a key challenge of our time. We must mobilize our capabilities to enhance attention to environmental protection. I am very pleased that this conference opens a new platform for discussing solutions to global ecological problems.I wish the conference success!
Sincerely,
Leyla Əliyeva,
Head of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign.”
