The next "Our Yard" in Narimanov district has been made available for residents.
Within the framework of the "Our Yard" project, implemented at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, another renovated yard has been made available for residents.
The renovated yard covers buildings located at Narimanov district, Ashiq Ali street 5, 7/19, Izzaddin Hasanoglu street 21, and Fatali Khan Khoyski street 118, 120/23, housing 1,100 residents.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku's yards ecologically clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city's ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
In the newly renovated yard, the ease of movement for people with disabilities and limited health capabilities has been taken into account; various sports equipment, football fields, chess areas, and playgrounds for children have been installed to provide favorable conditions for children’s development across all age groups, allow young people to spend their leisure time effectively, and cultivate a systematic engagement with sports. Four gazebos have been built in the yard, along with benches and waste bins.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of residents, new elevators, lighting poles, security cameras, and fire hydrants have been installed; the building facades, roofs, and entrances have been completely renovated, and an electromagnetic card access system has been implemented for the blocks. In addition to restoring existing greenery, 20 trees have been planted and a 1,500 sq.m. green area has been created, observing special quarantine rules.
In the renovated yard, medical and preventive measures have been carried out in accordance with quarantine requirements; disinfection dispensers have been installed, and educational boards warning about compliance with quarantine rules have been set up.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations regarding yards in the capital that need improvement are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
