The presentation of the film “Shirvan National Park” took place at the “Nizami” Cinema Center.

On May 14, at the “Nizami” Cinema Center, the presentation of the film about “Shirvan National Park,” prepared within the framework of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection) Public Union’s special project “8 Wonders of Azerbaijan,” was held.
Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, attended the presentation ceremony.
Before the ceremony, IDEA presented 20 observation cameras to the Baku representative office of the World Wildlife Fund.
Leyla Aliyeva, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, stated that the observation cameras were presented within IDEA’s project for the protection of leopards in Azerbaijan. These cameras will be used to determine the habitats and numbers of leopards.
At the “Nizami” Cinema Center, where the ceremony was held, exhibits included gazelle models prepared within the framework of the International Maiden Tower Festival and photographs taken during the filming of the “Shirvan National Park” film by director Igor Bishnyov.
Leyla Aliyeva familiarized herself with the models and photographs at the exhibition.
Afterwards, the film “Shirvan National Park” and the “Aghgol National Park” video clip were shown.
The director and screenwriter of the film noted that “Shirvan National Park” is the first film within the project. The project initiator is the IDEA Public Union. Igor Bishnyov expressed his gratitude to IDEA’s head Leyla Aliyeva, noting that he has long been captivated by Azerbaijan and its nature, that work on the film lasted 14 months, and during this period six film expeditions were organized. He emphasized that Azerbaijan is a leader in the post-Soviet space in terms of the system of protected areas.
Within the framework of the project, filming of films about Aghgol, Zangazur, Altyaghach, Hirkan, Absheron, Shahdagh, and Goygol National Parks is also planned.
