The IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign organized a seminar on Tuesday in connection with the "International Day against Nuclear War Mobilization." The seminar, attended by more than 30 students, took place at the IDEA Resource Center located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan.

Islam Mustafayev, head of the laboratory at the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, chairman of the "Rüzgar" Public Union, Doctor of Chemistry, and professor, participated in the event as an expert.

During the interactive event, remembered for the engaging discussions of the youth, it was noted that nuclear energy production wastes play a special role in the emergence of negative processes in the environment, including the creation of many problems.

Regarding the date of this day, it was adopted at an international conference held in Delhi in 1985. On this date, events are organized in many countries around the world concerning the ecological and social consequences of nuclear war, and the memory of nuclear victims is honored.

It should be recalled that the IDEA campaign, which has always prioritized environmental awareness as one of its main directions, was launched on July 12, 2011, by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

In the coming weeks, the continuation of lectures and the organization of excursions to various regions are expected.
