In the Qaradağ district, a tree-planting event dedicated to the birthday of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was held.

On May 7, a tree-planting event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, was held in the Qaradağ district of Baku, jointly organized by the IDEA Public Union and the Qaradağ District Executive Authority.

During the event, held with the participation of volunteers, 300 Eldar pine trees and numerous rose bushes were planted in a vacant area located at the 19th kilometer of the Salyan highway.

As a continuation of the tradition established by National Leader Heydar Aliyev regarding the protection of ecology in Azerbaijan, continuous measures are being implemented in our country today to constantly improve the environment, including increasing the existing green areas.

It should be noted that, under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, numerous projects have been implemented in Azerbaijan to protect and expand green spaces. With the support of IDEA volunteers, more than 5 million trees have been planted across the country, and hundreds of attempts at illegal tree cutting have been prevented.
