The traditional Third “Maiden Tower” International Art Festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Maiden Tower Art Gallery, and the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department, took place from May 17 to 19.

At the Third “Maiden Tower” International Art Festival, artists representing 18 countries painted small models of the Maiden Tower, combining various cultures and traditions according to their national styles and imaginations.

For the first time, within the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign, models of deer were created to draw attention to the endangered “Caucasus Five.” These models, which had participated in last year’s festival, were decorated by artists who had already become friends of the festival.

In total, the exhibition presented the Maiden Tower works of 26 artists and deer compositions by 17 artists to the audience.
