Shahdag National Park has welcomed 3 bison calves

Within the bison reintroduction project carried out through the joint organization of the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Azerbaijan Office, a significant increase has occurred with the birth of three healthy offspring in the bison herd settled in Shahdag National Park.

The European bison has been included in the newly published 3rd edition of the Red Book of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
