On February 24, within the framework of the “Ecological Laboratory for Children” project jointly implemented by IDEA Public Union and the “Sevimli Bala” organization, the next laboratory training was held at the IDEA Resource Center.

The training focused on the 6th (Clean Water and Sanitation) and 14th (Life Below Water) Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

During the training, children were informed about the properties of water and its importance for the Earth, the human body, and living beings in general. The “Little Ecologists” also learned about water conservation, keeping water bodies clean, and ways to protect marine ecosystems.

In addition, young nature enthusiasts participated in fun quizzes about water, conducted various experiments explaining the composition of water, and observed how water is purified through experiments. Special coloring sheets were distributed to the participants of the “Eco Laboratory” to explain the UN Sustainable Development Goals in a simpler and more entertaining way and to help them understand the concepts more easily.

The February laboratory proved to be remarkable, providing children with an interesting and fun day, while also raising their awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals, the role of water in human life, and its importance for the planet.
