On May 19, within the framework of the “Ecological Laboratory for Children” project jointly implemented by the IDEA Public Union and the “Sevimli Bala” organization, a training session dedicated to the topic of Paleontology was held.

During the training, young ecologists were provided with many interesting facts about the science of paleontology, ancient organisms, and fauna species discovered through archaeological research that no longer exist today. Young nature enthusiasts learned fascinating facts about the appearance, biological characteristics, feeding habits, and reproduction of organisms that existed in ancient times.

Coinciding with the “International Day for Biological Diversity,” the laboratory session introduced children to the biodiversity of our country and explained ways to preserve it.

Additionally, children became acquainted with the methods of conducting paleontological and archaeological research through laboratory experiments and carried out their first investigations. Later, the young ecologists participated in experiments related to the study of ancient organisms.

The May laboratory made a significant contribution by helping children understand the ways and importance of preserving biodiversity, as well as increasing their awareness of extinct ancient animal species due to the process of evolution and environmental changes.

At the end of the training, the IDEA Public Union and the “Sevimli Bala” organization presented participants with commemorative gifts.
