A football master class was held for children

On June 12, a football master class for children was held at the Seaside National Park, jointly organized by the IDEA Public Union, the UN Azerbaijan office, and the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan.
The main goal of the event was to raise young people in a morally and physically healthy way, promote a healthy lifestyle, properly and effectively organize their leisure time, raise awareness about the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and support the sports policy being implemented in our country.
About 60 children participated in the master classes conducted by our national team players Kamran Agayev, Ruslan Gurbanov, and Javid Imamverdiyev.
At the beginning of the master class, our national team players shared their valuable advice with the children, discussing the factors necessary to become a professional footballer. Then, the goalkeeper of our national team, Kamran Agayev, who drew attention with his perfect returns, shared his experience with the future colleagues. Midfielder Javid Imamverdiyev, one of the most technical players of our national team, and forward Ruslan Gurbanov, who brings joy to fans with his decisive goals, demonstrated certain techniques that sparked great interest among the children, showing ways to improve ball movement skills, dribbling, passing, as well as pressing applied to regain the ball.
At the end of the master classes, the “young footballers” played football together with the players of the Azerbaijan national football team.
Finally, children who participated in the master class were presented with balls featuring the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals as souvenir gifts.
