On January 24, within the framework of the “Ecological Laboratory for Children” project jointly implemented by the IDEA Public Union and the “Sevimli bala” organization, the first laboratory training of this year was held at IDEA’s Resource Center located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The January laboratory was dedicated to the topic of the polar circle and its nature. Accordingly, during the training, the “young ecologists” were provided with explanations about the North and South Poles, their nature and climate, polar animals, the geography of Antarctica, and more.

During the course of the training, the children took part in conducting a number of laboratory experiments related to the topic and, in particular, during the experiment called “Rainbow in a Glass,” which aroused great interest among them, they created a prototype of the northern lights and obtained fascinating information.

Along with providing children with an interesting and entertaining day, the January laboratory was also notable in terms of familiarizing them with the melting of glaciers in the North Pole and Antarctica and the factors causing this process.

At the next training session of the “Ecological Laboratory for Children” project, which has been successfully continuing for 3 years, in line with tradition, the IDEA Public Union and the “Sevimli Bala” organization presented commemorative gifts to the participants.
