The “Green Economy” ecological camp is being launched.

With the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the “Icherisheher” State Historical and Architectural Reserve, the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign, and organized by the “IRELI” Public Union, the “Green Economy” ecological camp will be held on August 2–3, 2013, at the “Gala” State Historical Ethnographic Reserve.

During the two-day project, participants will receive training from leading experts on the topics of “Nature and Efficient Technology,” “Waste Management,” and “Green Marketing.”

At the same time, project participants will prepare project proposals on environmental protection and green economy topics.

In addition, excursions for young people to the SOCAR Ecology Park and the “Gala” State Historical Ethnographic Reserve will be organized.

It should be noted that the main purpose of holding the “Green Economy” ecological camp is to educate society on issues related to the improvement and protection of the environment, to increase awareness of the environmental benefits of using waste-free and low-waste technologies, and to explore the role of young people in mitigating the harmful effects of economic development on the environment.
