As part of the "Green Marathon," tree seedlings were distributed to the public at the "Əhmədli" Bravo hypermarket.

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, a campaign for distributing tree seedlings to the public has been launched within the framework of the “Nationwide Greening Marathon” (“Green Marathon”).

On April 3, through the joint organization of the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the BRAVO supermarket chain, tree seedlings were presented as gifts to customers visiting the Bravo Hypermarket near the “Ahmedli” metro station. The campaign is planned to continue for three days to actively involve the public in tree-planting activities, promote care for nature, and support participation in the planting process. Due to the strong interest of customers, the campaign will also take place in the coming days at the Bravo Hypermarket near the “20 Yanvar” metro station, where visitors will be offered various types of fruit and evergreen tree seedlings.

During the event, in addition to distributing seedlings, citizens were also given instructions on the proper planting, watering, and care of trees.

At the conclusion of the event, a tree-planting action was held with the participation of young volunteers.

It should be noted that the main goal of the “Green Marathon” project is to increase green areas, promote tree planting, contribute to environmental protection, and enhance the country’s flora biodiversity, as well as raise awareness about the preservation of greenery. The project aims to plant nearly one million trees during the planting season and expand green spaces.

Project partners encourage everyone to make use of the spring planting season for the sake of the environment, to take an active role in protecting our planet, and to actively join greening efforts.
