Tree planting events were held in Baku within the framework of the "Green Marathon" project.

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, further tree-planting events have been held within the framework of the “Nationwide Greening Marathon” (“Green Marathon”).
On April 3 in the Garadagh district of Baku and on April 4 in the Binagadi district, 3,000 trees of various species, suited to the local soil and climate conditions, were planted with the participation of local volunteer youth.
The project, organized jointly by the IDEA Public Union and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, aims to increase green spaces, promote tree planting, contribute to environmental protection, enhance the country’s flora biodiversity, and raise awareness about the preservation of greenery.
The IDEA Public Union, giving special importance to increasing green spaces—which play an invaluable role in improving the overall ecological situation and minimizing the impacts of climate change—continues large-scale tree-planting activities in other regions of the country together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
During the spring and autumn tree-planting seasons, the project partners aim to plant nearly 1 million trees nationwide and call on everyone to support this beneficial initiative and unite for the green future of our nature.
