Within the framework of the "Green Marathon" project, tree seedlings were distributed to the public.

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, a campaign for distributing tree seedlings to the public has been launched within the framework of the “Nationwide Greening Marathon” (“Green Marathon”).

On April 2, as part of a joint organization by the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the BRAVO supermarket chain, tree seedlings were gifted to customers visiting the BRAVO hypermarket near the “Koroglu” metro station. To actively involve the public in tree-planting activities, promote care for nature, and encourage participation in the planting process, the campaign is planned to continue for three days. Due to high public interest, the campaign will also take place in the following days at the BRAVO hypermarkets located in the Ahmedli settlement and near the “20 January” metro station, where various types of fruit and evergreen tree seedlings will be distributed to visitors.

During the event, in addition to distributing seedlings, citizens were provided with guidance on the proper planting, watering, and care of trees.

At the conclusion of the event, a tree-planting action was carried out with the participation of young volunteers.

It should be noted that the main goal of the “Green Marathon” project is to increase green spaces, promote tree planting, contribute to environmental protection, enhance the country’s floral biodiversity, and raise awareness about the preservation of greenery. The project aims to plant nearly one million trees during the planting season and to expand green areas.

Project partners call on everyone to make the most of the spring planting season for the sake of the environment, to actively contribute to the protection of our planet, and to participate in greening efforts.
