Within the framework of the "Green Marathon" project, the millionth tree has been planted in the Zirə settlement of the Khazar district.

On May 10, within the framework of the "Green Marathon" project, the millionth tree was planted in the Zirə settlement of the Khazar district.
Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, attended the event.
First, Leyla Aliyeva familiarized herself with the modern greenhouse complex built in Zirə with the support of the IDEA Public Union.
The complex cultivates rare and imported tree and plant species in Azerbaijan. The complex, covering an area of 20 hectares, employs over 100 workers. Each year, 2–3 million plants and rose bushes are grown here.
The greenhouse, where 500 types of roses are cultivated, consists of six sections. In these sections, seeds and seedlings are grown, and diseased plants are treated.
Then Leyla Aliyeva participated in the tree-planting campaign. She planted the millionth tree within the framework of the "Green Marathon" project.
As part of the tree-planting campaign, with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, approximately 5,000 trees were planted in the area by nearly 100 volunteers of the IDEA Public Union.
Leyla Aliyeva also visited the emerging IDEA Eco-Park and showed interest in the facilities created for endangered animals in Azerbaijan.
