The tree-planting campaigns under the “Yaşıl Marafon” project are continuing successfully.

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, nationwide mass tree-planting campaigns continue successfully within the framework of the “National Greening Marathon” (“Green Marathon”).
On April 2, with the organization of the IDEA Public Union and support from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the next campaigns were held in the Masalli, Yardimli, Oguz, Gabala, Shamkir, and Barda districts. During the events, 10,000 trees of various species, suitable to the soil and climatic conditions of each region, were planted with the participation of local volunteer youth.
The main goal of the project is to expand green areas, promote tree planting, contribute to environmental protection, including enhancing the country’s flora biodiversity, and raise awareness about the preservation of greenery.
The IDEA Public Union, giving special importance to increasing green spaces, which play an invaluable role in improving the overall ecological situation and minimizing the impacts of climate change, intends to continue large-scale tree-planting events in other districts of the country together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
During the marathon, which aims to plant nearly 1 million trees nationwide, the project partners call on everyone to support this beneficial initiative and unite for the green future of our nature.
